1. Start with the bank export
Larger file? Open or paste up to 2,000 transactions, then . Only that sample will be checked and exported; your original file stays unchanged.
Need a different format or stuck in the trial? Tell the maker what blocked you. Please do not send bank records or client data.
2. Confirm what each column means
Check the suggestions against your source. Debit and credit labels can mean different things across bank exports.
Amounts must be numbers with at most two decimal places. Currency symbols and mixed currencies need review in the source. No currency conversion.
3. Review before importing
Trial totals cover displayed valid rows, including possible duplicates. Compare these rows with the matching entries in your original statement; this is not a full-statement total. This checks file structure, not your books or transactions already in your accounting software.

Is this the right tool for your bank CSV?
Who is it for?
Bookkeepers preparing existing CSV exports during catch-up work, client onboarding or recurring imports. Check date order, amount signs and column mappings together, then save a setup for matching headers.
Can it tell whether 01/09 means 1 September or 9 January?
The free web trial shows both interpretations and how many loaded dates fit each order. This side-by-side comparison is not included in offline release 1.1. Neither edition guesses the date order. Confirm the meaning against your original statement, then choose the source date order explicitly.
Do I need this if Xero already maps my file?
Possibly not. Xero can save mappings for matching CSV headers. Try its built-in settings first. A separate local check may help when you repeatedly edit dates, signs or split amount columns. Read the Xero bank CSV error checklist for native fixes and a worked date example.
What is free, and what does the paid edition include?

Is this a PDF converter or a verified Xero integration?
No. It accepts CSV, not PDF, image or Excel files. Bank CSV prep is beta; actual QuickBooks and Xero imports are unverified. It does not restore bank feeds, categorize transactions or reconcile accounts. Processing stays on your device.
